The February issue of Cornea reported that omega-3 reduced dry eye symptoms in 70 % of patients and increased tear volume and flow.
The omega-3 was supplied as a fish oil dietary supplement containing EPA, DHA and flax seed oil, and was taken on a daily basis for 3 months.
The pilot study was performed at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Dallas, TX.
The abstract of the study can be found here.
Let’s see if Wild Eye copies this.
