About Us

EyeDocNews offers ophthalmologists and other eyecare professionals the latest news related to treatment of various eye conditions and disorders, including macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataract and corneal disease. The stories published on the blog are presented in a manner intended to facilitate discussion between ophthalmologists concerning these breaking developments. While the site is intended primarily for qualified medical professionals, we accept questions from patients and other consumers for publication and periodically publish stories concerning developments of interest to patients with eye conditions.

Content to the site is contributed by leading ophthalmologists and other eyecare specialists, as well as by consultants servicing the eyecare industry. All readers are invited to comment on published posts to facilitate the exchange of views and insights into the issues addressed in each post.

Our goal is to help ophthalmologists and other eyecare professionals stay informed about the latest eyecare techniques, treatments, and technologies so they are better able to treat patients. At the same time, we hope that patients or consumers that read the site will be better educated when discussing their conditions with their doctors.
