Stegmann Canal Expander Implant Lowered IOP in Patients With Primary Open-Angle Glaucoma

August 25, 2016

A new study published in the Journal of Glaucoma monitored 22 patients with medically uncontrolled POAG who underwent canaloplasty with implantation of the Stegmann Canal Expander into Schlemm canal.

The results showed that implantation of the Stegmann Canal Expander into Schlemm canal lowered IOP significantly in POAG without device-related complications during the 1-year observation period.
