Is Lucentis Helpful in Pterygium Surgery?

A small study recently demonstrated better results when 0.5mg of Lucentis was injected on the day of pterygium surgery with conjunctival autograft. Of course, Lucentis is too expensive and won’t be covered, but Avastin would probably be a good idea, since it’s much cheaper and this injection is so simple.
