Columbia University: In a Retinitis Pigmentosa model of mice, stem cells from RPE cells were successful in restoring sight in 25% of the mice. Stem cells is looked upon as our last best hope for restoring damaged neural tissue, and let’s hope stem cells become routine in a few years.
