Modified Deep Lamellar Keratoplasty Good for Keratoconus

Researchers demonstrated a new technique that avoids full corneal transplant in keratoconus, until now the gold standard. By carefully dissecting down to Descemet’s, a deep lamellar graft can be placed which avoids the risk of rejection. Their results were excellent-average VA was 20/25 after 1 year.
