A Preview of this Year’s Annual Meeting of the Association for Research in Vision and Technology (ARVO)

The 2009 annual meeting of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) will be held in Fort Lauderdale, from Sunday May 3rd to Thursday May 7th. The ARVO Annual Meeting will be a major forum for vision researchers and practitioners to discuss recent research addressing treatment of various eye diseases and conditions.
This year’s theme is “Reducing Disparities in Eye Disease and Treatment.” Sessions will address disparities in eye disease and treatment across racial, ethnic, gender, age, geographic and socioeconomic groups, and consider contributing factors such as lifestyle, culture, language and religious beliefs.
