Hello……….is anybody out there? I am a 57 y/o male who has been t1D for 47 years. I was 1st diagnosed with proliferative diabetic retinopathy back in 1986. Thanks to laser treatment and subsequent surgeries, the progression has been slow and I’m doing pretty well. However, I’ve had little luck in finding people with similar situations. I know you’re out there! It would be nice to be able to compare notes with other diabetics and/or exchange ideas and words of encouragement with others who may also be suffering from other long-term effects of type 1.
