Retinal Crystals Noted In Type 2 Idiopathic Macular Telangiectasia

December 23, 2011

December Archives: Add this to your board questions about what causes crystals in the retina. Researchers frequently noted crystals in IMT type 2, which they say implicate the Muller cells in the pathogenesis. I don’t see too many of these, but I don’t recall seeing crystals, and I usually take a good look at these things when they show up. I will have to take a closer look next time.
