NAVILAS Shown To Be More Effective

June 15, 2011

Ophthalmology:  I recently discussed a new technology that allows one to overlay a laser pattern on a live fundus image, and then allow the laser to be administered to exactly those points. A study compared this technology to the standard we use now- aiming the laser by hand- and found a much higher accuracy rate of 92% vs. 72%. Too bad it’s too expensive for small practices like mine.

  • A bit too expensive for us too, but we’ll both get there some day 🙂
