Fibrin Glue Beats Sutures

Ophthalmology:  Any surgeon who uses fibrin glue in pterygium surgery with conjunctival autograft does not have to be told how wonderful it is- it saves time and is more comfortable for the patient. A meta-analysis study now demonstrates that it decreases the recurrence rate as well. To my mind, it’s a no-brainer- fibrin glue ought to be the standard of care.
