Antiplatelet, Anticoagulation May Increase Risk of Bleeding in Macular Degeneration

A retrospective study in Retina suggests a higher incidence of bleeding (63%)in patients with wet macular degeneration who are anti-coagulated versus those who are not (29%). A better, prospective study is needed, but on the other hand, it may be academic-anticoagulation is a life-saver, and who is going to stop it because of an increased risk of bleeding in the eye?
