How Closely Are Type 2 Diabetes and Macular Degeneration Associated?

By doing a simple regression, researchers found that Korean adults with Type 2 diabetes were more likely to have evidence of early AMD. The underlying etiology is not yet understood. It would also be interesting to know whether the association extended to the general population or is just restricted to this, or a subset of, particular groups.
