Side Effects of Flouroscopy During Intra-Arterial Chemo Injections

An article in Archives brings up an interesting point-repeated fluoroscopy during intra-arterial injections of chemo for eye tumors may increase risk of cataract and other tumors, especially in retinoblastoma patients who are already at risk for other tumors. I am confident that lower exposure and better shielding will be employed as we become more familiar with this relatively new procedure.
