BioSynthetic Corneas A Reality?

From EyeNet:  Researchers have grown real cornea tissue in the shape of a contact lens and have grafted it to diseased corneas, and got pretty nice results, especially when the patient wore a RGP lens on top. No rejection, neovascularization, and nerve regeneration was noted by 24 months. A very promising start.
