Topcon Launches New Multifocal Lens To Simultaneously Correct Presbyopia and Astigmatism

Topcon recently announced that it has launched the first high-definition multifocal lens designed to simultaneously correct presbyopia and astigmatism.

The LENTIS Mplustoric intraocular lens (IOL) will be officially introduced to the industry at the UK & Ireland Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons (UKISCRS) meeting in Brighton on November 11-12, 2010.

Combining the company’s LENTIS Mplus with the toric functionalities of its Tplus range, the new lens is tailored to suit patients who suffer from both presbyopia and corneal astigmatism.
