Is Unilateral Medial Rectus Resection Effective in Recurrent Exotropia After Bilateral Lateral Rectus Recession?

In this month’s AJO, investigators compared unilateral vs. bilateral medial rectus resection for recurrent exotropia. Those in the unilateral group had better results with less overcorrection. The study group was limited to those with 25 prism diopters or less.
