In this month’s Ophthalmology, a study compared endophthalmitis rates between 20g and 25g vitrectors- a long-simmering controversy. Rates were extrememly low for both groups and there was no difference in endophthalmitis rates. Perhaps this study will put the controversy to rest, or at least help surgeons in court.
