Optelec Reduces the Price of Compact+ Video Magnifier for the Visually Impaired

Optelec US Inc. is now offering the Optelec Compact+ at the reduced price of $595. Optelec is a leader in assistive technologies for the blind and visually impaired.
The Compact+ is a portable handheld video magnifier that makes it easier for people with visual impairments to read labels, maps, menus, books and much more. It comes in several colors. The Optelec Compact+ measures 5.3″ x 2.9″ x 1.2″ with a 4.3″ color widescreen display and a collapsible hand grip. Additional features of the Compact+ include a three-hour rechargeable battery and a carrying case for extra convenience.
Optelec is also launching ongoing monthly product giveaways for the Compact+ starting in August and the Optelec FarView Independence promotion starting July 4 through its subsidiary company ShopLowVision.com. All Optelec products and accessories are available through Optelec’s dealer and distribution networks.

I am looking for this kind gadget for my mom but it is still expensive in others countries, eg australia, probably the double the price!!!
I have had a look web site shop low vision but it seems they do not offer the products to buy international.
