What is the Range of Vision for Toric Lens After Implant?
May 8, 2009
Hello, can you say what the range of vision will be for the Toric lens after implantation? In other words what is the nearest point of clear vision without glasses. I am thinking of having my Cataract and Astigmatism corrected with this lens. Thank you for your time.

the toric lens only corrects cataract and about 3 diopters of astigmatism. therefore, your uncorrected distance vision should be 20/20. it has nothing to do with presbyopia (the need for reading glasses). for that you would need the alcon restor lens, and have the surgeon address the astigmatism with limbal relaxing incisions ( not particularly accurate), or lasik after the surgery (very accurate, but lasik has its own risks)
