FDA Clears New Multicolor Pattern Scan Laser Photocoagulator from NIDEK

In late August, NIDEK announced FDA clearance for the MC-500 Vixi, a new multicolor pattern scan laser photocoagulator.

According to NIDEK’s release announcing the clearance, the MC-500 Vixi is the first and only pattern scan laser available with a customizable choice of the most popular wavelengths of 532 nm Green, 577 nm Yellow, or 647 nm Red. The MC-500 Vixi also includes eight preprogrammed scan patterns with a memory function for more effective treatment of various retinal pathologies.
