Monovision IOL Beats Multifocals

Eyenet: A study conducted by Dr. Zhang showed that patients preferred monovision (one eye corrected for distance, and the other for near ) using standard implants after cataract surgery, with lower side effects and higher satisfaction. Fine stereovision was a little better in the multifocal group. And it’s free! I believe Dr. Gills is also a big proponent of monovision. It’s certainly something that should be discussed prior to surgery.
