Which Is More Damaging to the Conjunctiva- Timoptic or Xalatan?

A recent article [1]suggests that Xalatan stimulates less collagen production in the conjunctiva compared to Timoptic. I don’t do enough trabs to appreciate a difference. It’s too bad they used Xalatan as opposed to Lumigan or Travatan, as the latter two are prescribed much more than Xalatan, but I suppose it’s reasonable to assume the results woud be similar. Travatan Z, which is BAK-free, may be even more friendly to the conjunctiva, and I tend to prescribe it more than Lumigan if I suspect that the patient will ultimately end up getting a trab.
