Visian Toric ICL Beats PRK

The Visian toric ICL (intraocular contact lens) (Staar Surgical) got better results than PRK in driving simulations. The ICL is typically used in moderate to high myopia where Lasik has been found to be unpredictable and a little risky, and where surgeons opt for PRK. Night driving is a good marker for real-life quality of vision. The results are not surprising, since in high myopia, a lot of corneal tissue has to be removed in PRK, and this has to affect the optical quality.
