Is New Sulcoflex IOL a Good Option for Residual Error?

The Rayner Sulcoflex® IOL is a a new IOL designed to fit in the sulcus as a piggyback, and there are three designs: one for spherical error, one for cylinder, and one to add multifocality for presbyopia.

Essentially, as the company explains, the Sulcoflex IOL is designed to correct any post-surgical or residual ametropia, without the trauma, or increased surgical risk, of an IOL exchange.

If it is shown to be safe and effective, then it will obviate the need for many IOL replacements, which can be tricky.
