Is Valproic Acid a Treatment for Retinitis Pigmentosa?

Valproic acid, used for seizures, was shown to improve visual fields in retinitis pigmentosa (RP) patients in a small study. Consider using it off-label until larger prospective studies are done, as it seems to be well-tolerated, and RP patients want options.
