Is Endocycloplasty a Good Treatment Option for Plateau Iris Syndrome?

Plateau iris syndrome is rare and can be hard to manage. The theory is that it’s secondary to anterior rotation of the ciliary body, which is why iridoplasty and iridectomy often don’t fix the problem. Using high definition ultrasound of the anterior segment, researchers showed resolution of this condition by shrinking the the ciliary processes by using endoscopic laser.

Do you have reference to this article? If this is the same article, I remember being convinced at the time with their imaging in their case report. Although it is trickier to perform ECP with the lens in place, I think that in some situations it may prove to be valuable treatment option if the only other alternative is to remove a clear lens.
