Arkansas Matters reports research finding that women who take a combination of B-vitamins and Folic Acid may be protected against macular degeneration. Researchers say more studies are needed to determine the amount of vitamins necessary to see a benefit. Click here [1] to watch the TV report.
The research was conducted at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. As reported on eNews 2.0, researchers said it was the first randomized trial to indicate a possible benefit of folic acid, B-6 and B-12 vitamin supplements in reducing the risks of age-related macular degeneration [2].
