Are IOL’s Better Than Contact Lenses For Infantile Cataract?

A good study sponsored by the NEI compared IOL and CL for infantile cataract, and surprisingly, the vision in the two groups were similar. Complications of course were higher for the IOL group. I find this study hard to believe, for when I was a resident, those kids never wore those contact lenses. Maybe the lenses are better, or the demographics were a more reliable sort.
