Is Air Just as Good as Perfluoropropane in Pneumatic Retinopexy?

An article in Archives demonstrated that filtered air resulted in a nonsignificant lower reattachment rate initially in retinal detachment, but that final reattachment rates and vision were similar to c3f8, an expansile gas. Not sure if retinal surgeons will blow off the c3f8 and risk having to give more injections.
