Should Intra-arterial Fibrinolysis in Treatment of Central Retinal Artery Occlusion be Abandoned?

Intra-arterial fibrinolysis is a remarkable heroic measure in CRAO. But an article in July’s Ophthalmology noted that it’s no better than observation, and there was significant morbidity with the procedure (TIA and stroke).  They basically concluded it should be abandoned.
