ReVision Optics, a company focused on the development of custom optical solutions dedicated to vision correction, recently announced that it has initiated new clinical studies of its patented PresbyLens corneal inlay. The studies will assess the use of corneal inlay for rectifying presbyopia. The trials will be conducted for a period of two years and will recruit 400 patients. Previously we had discussed problems the company had with the PresbyLens [1].

According to the company, the PresbyLens® inlay is designed to improve the near vision that has been lost due to presbyopia.  The PresbyLens® inlay is removable, and provides a surgical option for near and intermediate vision enhancement.
