Can I Mix Avastin and Lucentis to Treat AMD?

My husband has had four avastin injections for macular degeneration and has seen no particular improvement. He is only 45 and it breaks my heart to think that he will lose his sight.
Should he now try Lucentis?

Can you use both Avastin and Lucentis at the same time? Can they be mixed like this?
