I was a resident 89-92 and saw much more CMV retinitis than in fellowship (probably due to difference in demographics of Washington DC and Memphis, TN). Even in practice (Baltimore, MD and Fairfax, VA), as a retina specialist, I don't see a case but once every couple of years. Randall V. Wong, M.D. I agree with Dr. Weitzer.
