Intravitreal Injection of anti-TNF (Remicade) for Wet AMD

Investigators (May AJO) demonstrated excellent response to intravitreal injection of anti-TNF (Remicade) for neovascular age-related macular degeneration. This was a small study of three patients who failed traditional anti-VEGF injections. Clearly, TNF factors are also involved in the cascade of events that lead to wet ARMD. Let’s hope some progress can finally be made for the dry ARMD.
